From November 6 to 9, the 16th China Plastics Expo opens in Yuyao. The expo this year is organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, Sinochem Group, China National Light Industry Council and Yuyao Municipal Government. It is supported by China Federation of Commerce and China Plastic Processing Industrial Association.
The theme of the expo this year is “to promote innovation and development”. The exhibition has an area of 42,000 square meters with 2000 exhibition stalls. There are four exhibition areas: the area for raw materials, the area for plastic lathes and moulds, the area for plastics machines, and the area for plastic products.
The exhibition this year will focus on the demand of the market. For this, the exhibition area is increased and manufacturers of hi-end moulds are invited. And a special area for innovative technologies is provided.
In line with the theme of the international forum, the special area for innovative plastic industrial technologies is provided. An area of about 4,000 square meters is provided for the semi-finished products of over 40 plastic mould manufacturers. For the 20th anniversary of China Plastics City, a picture exhibition of the 20th anniversary of China Plastics City opens.
There are two principal activities and two supporting activities. The two principal activities are: the opening ceremony opened on the morning of November 6 in Yuyao International Conference and Exhibition Center; the economic and scientific activities, including exhibitions of products, the investment talks and scientific exchanges, and the 10th International Forum of China Plastic Industrial Development opened on November 5. The two supporting activities are: purchasing fairs, and ordering fairs and special promotions of large enterprises, the job fair organized by Yuyao Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, project promotion activities by plastic enterprises and signing ceremonies.
It is noted that for the expo this year, efforts are made for the promotion of the marketing operation, the brands influence, the full play to the resources of the professional associations, the increase of the supporting activities of plastic enterprises, and the promotion of international cooperation by the forums.
1, Professional assessment is practiced to further promote the marketization and efficiency of the exhibition. Following the guideline of “guided by the government and operated by the enterprise”, the organization committee practiced the target assessment for the undertakers of the expo and the third party auditing institution is invited for the professional assessments.
2, Efforts are made to make the expo global. For this goal, the expo tries to get the attestation of the Ministry of Commerce and preparation is made for the UFI attestation so as to make the expo more influential. This year, the expo is still entitled China (Yuyao) International Plastic Expo 2014 and it is also called the 16th China Plastics Expo. In line with the requirement by the Ministry of Commerce for the assessment of professional exhibitions, preparations are made for the professional grading and assessment. In about 3 to 5 years, the expo should pass the attestation of the Union of International Fairs. From the 16th China Plastics Expo, the third party institutions authorized by the UFI participate in the auditing and assessment of the data of the exposition.
3, To give full play to the resources of the professional associations to increase the efficiency of the expo. In the last year, the administrative committee made a promotion to attract more members of Yuyao City Plastics Trade Association home and abroad to the exhibition and it worked with China Plastic Processing Industrial Association to run the forum of the modified plastic industry. This year, it has made greater efforts to promote the cooperation and exchanges of the associations of the plastic industry home and abroad. As a result, China Plastic Processing Industrial Association becomes a member of the supporting units of the expo this year.
4, Efforts are made to strengthen activities in scientific and technological cooperation and to increase the efficiency of the supporting activities of plastic enterprises. This year, the expo has more enterprises of moulds and lathes, including the enterprises of hi-end moulds of Yuyao Light Industry and Moulds City. A special area for the innovative technologies is set to increase the efficiency of the supporting activities of plastic enterprises.
5, To run the forum to promote international cooperation.
The 10th International Forum of China Plastic Industry, with the support of the Plastic Processing Industrial Association of Germany, is participated by the petrol and chemical association, and this is a new breakthrough to make the forum more efficient for the enterprises of China. Meanwhile, the international forum has China Synthetic Resin Association as one of the undertakers, and it is participated by the petrol and chemical industry of South Korea. In order to make it more market oriented, the forum is operated by China Chemical Economic Technology and Development Center.
So far, the business invitation has been completed. All the 2,000 exhibition stalls have been ordered by 436 enterprises. The 1032 stalls offered to the public are ordered by 316 enterprises, including 73 foreign enterprises, covering 23.1 % of the total; there are 95 enterprises that have special requirements for the arrangement of the stalls, covering 70.3% of the total number. The special hall in Exhibition Hall 1 has 67 enterprises of modified plastics, increased by 15 over last year. Exhibition Hall 2 has an area for innovative technologies of raw materials, moulds and products. This area is as large as 750 square meters and it has 42 enterprises. The area for semi-finished products in Exhibition Hall 1 displays over 30,000 products of 403 enterprises.
Analysis of the statistics show that the expo has four features: 1, Both old and new clients are enthusiastic as ever and the enterprises to the expo are higher in grade. Besides Sinopec Corp., Petro China, and Sinochem Group, BASF, Formosa Plastics, Haitian, Chen Hsong Group of Hong Kong, Tederic, ARBURG of Germany, Shuangma, Shini, Fengtie, Dayu, and Beijing Jingdiao will come to the expo. New participants include some world famous companies like Wittmann of Austria, STARSEIKI of Japan, Motan of Germany, Toyo, and Sinoextruder. There is a notable improvement in the grade of enterprises of materials and machines.
2, The exhibition areas are more diversified in style. This year, the area for moulds is greater than the last year. In addition to Exhibition Hall 6, the special area for innovative technologies of plastic industry is for the display of the quality moulds of automobile components by Yuyao enterprises. The 600-square-meter exhibition area for semi-finished plastic products is for the display of products of the enterprises in Yuyao Mould City.
3, The enterprises of China Plastics City are still enthusiastic for the expo. The expo this year has a hall for the enterprises of China Plastics City. It has 163 stalls for the enterprises of modified plastics, 20 more than the last year. They are ordered by 67 enterprises, 14 more than the last year. Among them, there are 10 enterprises that have special requirements for the arrangement of the stalls, covering 41% of the total.
4, The proportion of products with high technological content and environmental friendly products remains high. Over 85% products to be displayed in the expo are energy saving and environment friendly products, recyclable plastics, high performance plastics, new scientific products and products of smart technologies.
Thanks to the international forum, there will be an increase of clients over the previous year.
In business invitation, related departments have made use of the Website of Global Plastices, the website of international plastics machines, and the website for the 28th China International Plastic and Rubber Exhibition. Google is also used as a tool for international business invitation.
The preparation for the forums has completed. There will be 10 topics for the 10th International Forum of China Plastic Industry. There will be other topics for the enterprises and departments of Yuyao. Speeches will be made by experts, scholars from Plastic Processing Industrial Association of Germany, Petrol and Chemical Association of South Korea, the Institute of Geely Automobile, and Chang’an Automobile. Plastic Processing Industrial Association of Germany will be present at the forum for the time, and it will organize a delegation to Yuyao.
